Reviews and Thoughts

This is a 2D action RPG game. The first thing that comes to my mind when I saw the trailer is that it looks like Maple Story. Obviously the fighting skills are much complicated and there is also air combo which players continue to hit while floating above. There isn’t much interesting new element which can surprise gamers who used to play similar games before. This game is mainly focus on the good old classic game style and focus on improving the graphic for a better visual enjoyment.

Description from Play Asia

ATLUS x Vanillaware, the team behind the hit side-scrolling action game Dragon’s Crown releases a new authentic HD project to recreate and perfect the PS2 classic Odin Sphere – a 2D action RPG with Norse Mythology roots. Told in five tales from the perspectives of five unique protagonists, Odin Sphere Leifthrasir expresses the original game with glorious HD graphics in Vanillaware’s renowned style.

The kingdom of Valentine was the most powerful country on the continent of Erion. Its people thrived using the magical power of the Crystallization Cauldron, but it was destroyed in one fateful night. And so, a war over the now master-less Cauldron has begun, involving all the nations of the land and growing more intense by the day. Is the End near, as the Prophecy states?

PlayStation 4 Ikenie to Yuki no Setsuna

Reviews and Thoughts

This type of classic RPG game always brings back the old time. The game feels like a combination of Breath of Fire with Frozen. It is not a 3D game but a simple 2D game with beautiful artwork and turn base battle system. One thing I like about this game is that it brings out the best in 2D gaming world. If you like the classic game Chrono Trigger, you’ll probably like this one too. This is a classic RPG game which will give you a taste similar to Final Fantasy. The snow and music play from piano already caught my attention from the beginning.

Description from Play Asia

PlayStation 4 Nights of Azure

Reviews and Thoughts

The first impression of this game reminds me of the popular game Dracula X with a combination of Devil May Cry. It is a RPG game but the battle scene looks more like ARPG. The trailer doesn’t reveal much but the game developer seems to put a lot of effort into the artwork and battle system. Players are able to summon demons alongside to attack or support during battle. Depending on the types of demons you summon, players get to experience different style of game play. There seems to have hours of game play video available in YouTube.

Description from Play Asia

Nights of Azure is a tragic tale of two friends faced with impossible decisions that will test their loyalty to their quest and to each other. Set on an uncharted island that floats in the North Sea,Nights of Azure paints a picture of a land where nights are tormented by azure-blooded demons. In this kingdom of Ruswal, very few people leave their homes after the sun has set, let alone have the strength and skill to take on these powerful monsters. One of the best among these brave few is the protagonist, Arnice, a knight of great skill and power, who is assisted by her friend and priestess Lilysse in a quest to rid the land of demons. However, they soon find out that the solution to the island’s problems might not be as simple as defeating enemies in battle.

PlayStation 4 Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 4

Reviews and Thoughts

This game is all about the popular hit manga Naruto. If you are a fan of Naruto, you’ll love this game. Basically you get to be the characters in the game and experience the fighting and excitement of a ninja. As the story of the hit manga already ended, this game should be the final release. As the game focus on story base, you’ll get to recap the manga again. Consider this as an alternative way to read the manga again. This is more about the manga rather than the game. I suppose the game is use to bring out the best of manga from a different angle.

PS Vita Uppers

Reviews and Thoughts

This is actually a fighting game with its own unique way and rules. There is a lot of anime sense and feel all over the game. It actually felt like a mini fighting game from Grand theft Auto. The art work looks like sketches of water color style. I can’t really say this game will be fun but if you are looking for an alternative fighting game which taste differently from the old traditional Street Fighter, perhaps this game might suit you.

Description from Play Asia

Right away, there are a few things that are immediately striking about the Senran Kagura Producer Keinchiro "Tits are life, ass is hometown" Takaki's newest game. One, it's got a major Kenka Bancho vibe to it, and that's because it's being developed by Bullets, who've been making the aforementioned games which feature over the top hot-blooded anime brawling about high school kids who use their fists over anything else. Secondly, there's an ecchi reward system, so there's definitely fan service, a signature of Takaki-San.

Set on "Last Resort," an isolated island where the denizens are battle starved outlaws whose only form of entertainment and communication are full on bare knuckle fist fights, players will be be freely rioting the island looking for trouble; fights are dramatic to say the least, as enemies can be thrown across destructive and interactive environments. For instance, an enemy can be be launched into the air, land into a combo which sends them flying through walls to land on a fire hydrant which breaks and shoots them into the air. The entire idea is to have unabashed button mashing joy where the character you pick becomes your fist, your juggernaut avatar.

There's also a mechanic on impressing the female spectators; the more damage you do equates to how much they will be into you. This debut trailer shows a literal peek of what is to come, and since it is Takaki's work, one can expect a certain type of physics which matches the intensity of the fighting.

Launching this Spring 2016, Uppers is the perfect game for those who enjoy action, anime, and fan service - to go!

PlayStation 4 One Piece Burning Blood

Reviews and Thoughts

This game is mainly due to the fame and popularity of the hit manga series One Piece. Basically this is a fighting game just like Street Fighter or perhaps Naruto is much more appropriate. You get to enjoy using Characters in the Manga series and fight your way to clear the stages. Especially if you are a fan of the hit manga, you’ll love this game. One of the interesting part in this game is you’ll see a lot of Japanese Katakana showing up when you hit or getting hit. It is a fighting game which you get to be the good or bad guys in the manga.

PlayStation 4 Dark Souls III

Reviews and Thoughts

This is actually a popular action role playing game. You can check out Twitch TV for a live stream gaming experience for previous series such as Dark Souls and Dark Souls II. The game battle is the interesting part. It felt much more realistic compare to other hack and slash action game such as Diablo. The role playing game style enables players to build their characters and customize their tactical attack pattern. The enemies and monsters encounter in the game have more attack pattern. In other words it cannot be kill easily as their attack pattern changes during battle. You will have to think about your attack style and sequence in order to kill the monsters or enemies successfully. The game actually has the smell and feel of The Lord of The Ring.

PS Vita Digimon World Next Order

Reviews and Thoughts

If you like the previous Digimon games, you probably might like this game too. Basically this is a pet breeding game which requires player to raise or digivolve a strong Digimon for battle.  It is much like Poketmon in a sense. Please remind that most of the time spend will be trying to customize and figuring out how to grow your Digimon into a strong warrior. You get to do a lot of things including fishing, feeding and making your pet happy. One thing I don’t like about this game is the 3D graphic which doesn’t seem to stand out.

Description from Play Asia

Bandai Namco Entertainment are once again bringing the world of Digimon to the PS Vita, where players can digivolve, battle, and travel alongside their Digimon — who will now have even more personality with the addition of facial expressions and more training elements!

For the first time in the Digimon World series players will now be able to choose between a male or female protagonist, both of which are seniors at high school, default names Takuto & Shiki. Players will be able to customize the protagonists names.

The Digimon World series wouldn't be what it is without Partner Training! Digimon World: Next Order will be expanding upon it and the "Care" system by allowing players to care for, and adventure with, two Digimon at the same time.

"ExE"-volution (usually displayed as "ExE")  is a new system that appears in Digimon World: Next Order where raising the bond power that players have with their partner Digimon will result in a miraculous evolution.

Digimon will also be much more dynamic in Next Order: on top of the initial announcement of facial expressions Digimon may also expect players to praise them after a successful battle, or even take the battle into their own hands if they see fit. A discipline element has also been added which allows players to select commands when necessary, whether you praise or scold them is up to you!

Battles have undergone some large changes, most notably the introduction of the cheering mechanic which allows players to encourage certain tactics that your Digimon has chosen (or not chosen) to follow. After players have encountered an enemy they will be able to perform actions (items, tactics, Digimon selection) while their Digimon prepare for battle. Once the battle has begun players will be able to cheer on their digital friends, who will react to the encouragement.

3DS Fire Emblem Fates Conquest Birthright

Reviews and Thoughts

This is actually a strategy game just like Super Robot Wars. If you like turn base strategy game, you should be able to enjoy this game. Basically the main attraction is the skills each character possesses. It is interesting to check out their skills and how they execute their attack. Combining with a good storyline you basically have a good game in hand. This type of game can be very challenging if you opt to keep all of your characters alive in every battle. This requires a lot of strategy planning and calculation which can make you think a lot before taking any step.

Description from Play Asia

Your battle. Your future. Your fate.

Two kingdoms are on the brink of war. Whose side will you choose? Torn between two families, you're an heir of Hoshido, raised by Nohrian royals. PlayStation 4 Senjou no Valkyria Remaster

Reviews and Thoughts

This is actually an old game rerelease in PlayStation 4. It is one of the best RPGs with great story line and unique art work. If you play this game before, skip it. This game is mainly for collecting purposes and to attract new gamers. There is also a US version of this game but I prefer the original Japanese version. The unique art work and story line is what makes you craving for more. It is more like a great movie which it is only good to watch only once.

Description from Play Asia

In 2008, when the original Valkyria Chronicles came out for the PlayStation 3, people could not believe the step that SEGA had taken with the way it was all presented; with the CANVAS engine, soft palettes and subtle tones came to life where everything seemed sketched with pencil - it was a moment where anime and gaming really meshed into a project of impressive scale.

Not to be outdone with just graphics, Valkyria Chronicles had both the story and the game play to take this story book experience to another level, and with the recent announcement of the remastered version, seeing these elements enhanced and back at play is something that all gamers can look forward to.

Set in an alternate Europe around the 1930s, the region has been split into two factions, the East European Empire Union and the Atlantic Ocean Federal Organization, and for years and years, these two superpowers have been seeking to unify Europe through a large scale war. It is often in times of chaos where Heroes emerge, and in a small, neutral country, such a young man comes forward to join the fight.

For those new to the series, game play is just as deep as it is accessible; players will move their squad to tactical locations with line of sight indicators to reach the best positions on the battlefield, with factors such as class of soldier, terrain, height, and distance taken into consideration. There are so many varied missions and objectives, that each approach will be different, especially when incorporating the fact that tank warfare is also an important aspect of battle.

In between battles, Valkyria Chronicles presents the story literally page by page; cut scenes presented in full animation with voice acting over a storybook background that detail an epic about love, hardship, camaraderie and bravery, all in the face of war and it's horrors.

If based on the original, Valkyria Chonricles Remastered will be immensely satisfying to play, and new additions welcome veterans to once again follow Squad 7 into the foray with enhanced visuals (as if it could look any better...) There are 3 new episodes and a new Hard-EX mode for master tacticians!

As well, all First-Print copies will include a battle demo on disc for SEGA's newest Valkyria title: Valkyria: Azure Revolution!

XBOX One Raiden V

Reviews and Thoughts

Raiden has always been a great 2D shooting game. If you are looking for a plane shooting game, any series of Raiden won’t be a disappointment. What I like about Raiden is that your weapon can be insanely powerful when reaches maximum level but yet still maintain the same sense of fragile feel that your plane can be destroy easily. In other words you still have to maintain alert and keep your guard up at all time. Sometimes you have to memorize the course to avoid the unexpected outcome. It can be a challenge to use only one life to clear entire stages.

Description from Play Asia

Developer Moss has announced that the vertical shoot 'em up sequel Raiden V is slated for launch on the Xbox One in Japan on February 25. The sequel is set to feature multiple stories, as well as the highest number of stages and weapons featured in a single Raiden game thus far.

Raiden V will make use the Xbox One cloud to acquire the player data of other players in real-time. Players will able to trace the trails of their friends to help others out of tough areas. The battlefield will also change in real-time based on the actions of both the player and their friends. Players will even be able encourage other players online using the one-button "Cheer System."

PlayStation 4 Star Ocean 5 Integrity and Faithlessness

Reviews and Thoughts

Star Ocean is actually a classic game just like Final Fantasy but is not that popular compare to Final Fantasy game series. The game actually provides a unique way of game play which is challenging to play and explore. It is an RPG game but with ARPG style when players enter battle mode. It actually can be confusing if players do not pay attention to the story line or rushing through the game. If you haven’t played the previous series of Star Ocean, you might have some difficulties play this game. This game is specially design for the long old fans that play this game in previous series. If you love to play RPG games and haven’t tried out any Star Ocean series before, you might find a lot of interesting features in this game.

Description from Play Asia

Star Ocean 5 is currently being developed by tri-Ace for PS4 & PS3, with the latter being the lead platform. PS4 will be a port with Square Enix looking into ways to utilize the share functionality.

Square Enix have announced that the title will release on February 25, 2016 for Japan, and an unannounced date in 2016 for the West (PS4 only).

Set in the year 537 Star Ocean 5 will take place between Star Ocean 2 and 3. Set on the dangerous and remote planet of Feycreed, located 6,000 light years from Earth, growing conflict will once again threaten the Galactic Federation and humanity's hopes of order and peace.

Battles will be both seamless and in real-time. In addition to the traditional event scenes, there will also be seamless events where the enemies attack you. Different outcomes may occur if an enemy captures on of your allies during an event.

Basic battles are very much the same as previous titles, where the player controlled character will take on an enemy in a 1v1 battle. However, boss battles will include the whole party in your fights, which creates a difference in strategy and overall feel.

Famitsu interviewed the title's producers and developers with some very positive answers being provided. Kobayashi, a producer, claims that "Star Ocean 5 is about bringing a sense or reassurance back to longtime fans..." and that there are no plans for story DLC or a re-released "Full Version". "I sincerely don’t want to do anything with this game that’ll upset people even a little bit," Kobayashi said. The overall game will reportedly be taking major cues from the fan-favorite Star Ocean 3.

PlayStation 4 Gundam Breaker 3

Reviews and Thoughts

This game is basically about building your favorite Gundam mecha. There are 10,000,000,000 options available. It should be able to keep you busy for a very long time trying to configure and match your strongest Gundam Mobile suit. Customization is the keyword for this game. Usually the ugliest combination tends to be the strongest. If you ever purchased and constructed the perfect grade of mobile suit Gundam, this game probably might interest you. You will be spending a lot of time building your favorite Gundam instead of getting it ready for battle.

Description from Play Asia

The third installment of the fan-favorite Gundam Breaker series is on it's way! Taking a unique and meta approach towards the Gundam universe, Gundam Breaker 3 continues the formula of bringing about action-packed mecha on mecha battles that revolve around one of the core aspects of the series: Gunpla aka Gundam Model Kits!

For those new to this specific spin-off, the core mechanics revolve around the creative choice of building your own Gundam based on the many real life parts featured in the game; the previous title, Gundam Breaker 2, included over 100 Gunpla kits to choose form, which massively increased the number of options and customization available to a total of over 10,000,000,000 different options!

Customization is a big part of the Gundam Breaker series and the upcoming release will channel that mindset by allowing players more to choose from when it comes to Gunpla colors, as well as the plating coating and dirtiness, and the expression of damage. In addition to missile pods, rail cannons, beam launchers, and other weapons, there is expansion equipment with various abilities that can be equipped. This will allow players to create a Full Armor Mobile Suit of their own!

The SD (Super Deformed) series of Gundam will now also be available in support roles, who will take instructions from the player during battles. SD Gundams can only be set to "Module," the effects of which will extend to the full team.

A new "Bounty Hunter Mode" has been added to the series. In this mode players will be able to battle against Gunpla that have been uploaded by other players, and the victor will walk away with in-game currency.

PlayStation 4 Shingeki no Kyojin

Reviews and Thoughts

This game is no doubt from the popular anime Attack on Titan. Honestly I already think that this anime can make an interesting game the first time I watch it. The question is can the game designer or developer recreates the same excitement and action from the anime. Judging from the PV shown, it seems fun to play. But if you take a look at previous game design which evolve from anime or movie, most of them are actually a big disappointment. You probably might enjoy the game better if you haven’t watched the anime or read the manga before. The 3D animation from the game seems not bad but the main issue which I’m concern about is the battle game play. Judging from the anime I’ve watch, the feeling of speed must be there in order to make this game fun and exciting. If this game is able to combine the feeling of speed from Sonic The Hedgehog and the battle algorithm from Monster Hunter, it will be a big hit. I doubt that will be case for this game. I’m guessing this game will be focus more on story telling driven base instead of the battle mechanism. Fans of this anime sure love to try out the super attack of the popular character Levi Ackerman.

Description from Play Asia

Koei Tecmo and Omega Force are bringing the story of the entire 2013 anime to PlayStation consoles, as well as a number of scenarios that place the spotlight on popular characters that are being developed alongside. All our favorite characters will be represented by the same voice actors used in the anime.

Players will be able to lock into battle against a wide variety of titans. Each titan will have its very own personality, creating a wide range of  battle situations that forces the player to choose how they approach it. Your 3D Maneuver Gear’s blades will dull and gas will deplete as you fight, so the game also incorporates a weapon parts exchange element.

Players will use the '3D Maneuver Gear' to zip freely around the sky and battle titans. By using type of action, you can rush quickly to other parts of the battlefield. Your 3D Maneuver Gear's blades will dull and gas will deplete as you fight, so the game also incorporates a weapon exchange element. In order to defeat a titan, it is necessary to attack its neck which means you'll need to attack from high altitudes and defeat titans by first destroying body parts like arms and legs before issuing the killing blow.

Additionally, with the state of battle constantly changing, you will noticed differences within the city such as walls and roofs collapsing as a result of battle. When you come across AI allies, you’ll be able to fight together as companions, as well as provide them instruction for various actions.

3DS Shin Megami Tensei IV Final

Reviews and Thoughts

This game is actually a popular series. You can find a lot of Shin Megami Tensei games in almost any game console. One thing I like about this game is the story. Unfortunately you have to able to read Japanese to read the story. I think it makes better sense when the story is in Japanese. English version of the game just does not feel right. Perhaps it is due to the cultural different. The fighting style is the same as the popular game Dragon Quest. The game requires you to through battle, level up and advance according to your ability. The pet system and combine algorithm is part of the interesting part of the game. Obviously the goal is to breed the strongest pet to clear the game. In order to enjoy the game fully, you will have to play the game slowly and try to understand the story. The character voice tends to bring out the best of the game. There are several ending to the game. So this will makes you run the game several time again and again if you want to clear all the endings.

Description from Play Asia

Atlus is bringing us Shin Megami Tensei IV: Final for the 3DS, set in the year 203X! The gods' war has devastated and transformed near-future Tokyo into a demon capital. As the battle between the gods Lucifer and Merkabah entered its final phase, the demon Krishna appeared. Spearheading the "Polytheistic Gods Alliance," Krishna declared war on Lucifer, Merkabah, and the monotheistic gods. But when mankind is dragged into a brand new war, along with our protagonist agreeing to become a "god killer," what path will you choose?

Shin Megami Tensei IV: Final is described as a full-length followup to the 2013 release, and will feature multiple endings to a brand new story (consisting of multiple story branches) revolving around the central theme of "monotheism vs. polytheism." Despite being a sequel the developer's aim has been to create the ultimate RPG able to be enjoyed by all gamers, regardless if they have played the previous title in the series. However, if players have save data from Shin Megami Tensei IV, they will obtain items and equipment that will be useful on their adventure in Shin Megami Tensei IV: Final.

Producer Kazuyuki Yamai has said that the new SMT title will further improve upon the series by including improvements to "things like controls and demon conversations." Other improvements include a revamped demons fusion system and a newly renovated UI.

PS Vita Bullet Girls 2

Reviews and Thoughts

The first thing that comes to my mind is the anime title Gunslinger Girl but without the blood and cruel scenario. This game is actually a counter strike, metal of honor and battle field type of first person shooting game. But you might find it difficult to blend in the anime girls and some other mini games into your mind while playing it. Especially if you are looking for some blood, action and bullets, this might not be the kind of game you like. If you like cute anime girls with some shooting action, you probably will like it. Cute anime girls shooting game perhaps are best describing this game.

Description from Play Asia

D3 Publisher is bringing one of the sexiest shooters back to the Vita, along with new characters, new actions, new systems, and the same unapologetic fan service from the first Bullet Girls!

The title follows a group of girls belonging to the "Ranger Club," a school organization dedicated to training its members in defensive tactics. Just like the first game players will take control these girls and their guns on various third person military exercises consisting of armored tanks, choppers, bazookas, grenades, and more!

While the shooting is great fun, unarguably the main appeal of Bullet Girls is the clothes destruction mechanic. Battle damage inflicted reveals specific parts of the girls' clothing; this can be targeted to reveal specific areas. To take it one step further, interrogation mini games revolve around groping and touching the girls as well as feeding them suggestive objects such as bananas, popsicles and fish sticks. The Interrogation System in Bullet Girls 2 has been expanded to include even more available situations. D3 Publisher has also teased further systems and updates that "users have been waiting for."

The story in Bullet Girls 2 follows Aya Hinamoto, the protagonist of the first game, as she encounters a pair of mysterious girls during a mission and engages in an "interscholastic war" waged between Elda Private Institute and Aya's own school, Misakimori Private Academy.

PS Vita Stranger of Sword City

Review and Thoughts

The game style is similar to Dragon Quest or Wizardry. If you like the old Advance Dungeon and Dragon Eye of beholder or a newer game like Legend of Grimrock, you probably will like this game too. As most of the visual effects are 2D, it can be very boring at some point. Especially if you are at the beginning of the game play, it will take some time to actually build up your characters and team. If you are not sure this is the game for you, try download and play the old version of Advance Dungeon and Dragon Eye of beholder. I personally like this type of game because there are a lot to explore. This game will occupy a lot of your time and brings a unique adventure experience to your life.

Description from Play Asia

From the dungeon crawling geniuses behind Demon Gaze, this new title takes a decidedly more Western approach to the traditional dungeon crawler and infuses the game with dark fantasy themes, new gameplay elements, and the ability to compete with fellow players through a leaderboard system. At its core it's a game about death and fighting against vanishing forever. You will discover new meaning in the choices you make to survive against all odds. You will define yourself by the lives of those you leave behind, by the people you align yourself with, and the experiences you have on each new venture into the dark labyrinths that threaten to trap you.

Your flight crashes after passing through a mysterious portal. As the sole survivor, you awaken to an unfamiliar land lit by stars you’ve never seen. This land is Escario, the city of swords. Quickly marked as the Chosen One, the Stranger of Sword City, you must defend this place, and choose your allegiances carefully as you scour the land for a way home.

PS Vita Kan Colle Kai

Review and Thoughts

The original version of this game is actually a free to play web browser game. This game becomes so popular that they even produced series of anime. Obviously there will be some changes for PS VITA version. This actually enable players around the world who are unable to login into the web browser game based a chance to enjoy the game. The web browser version of the game is only available in Japan. It is still possible to play the web browser version of the game but it will require some technical skills. I suppose part of the attraction of the game is due to the difficulties to login to the game from outside of Japan. Not sure if the PS VITA version of the game will generate similar attraction or not.

Description from Play Asia

Kanmusu fans! Ready to see the battleship girls in action? Kadokawa Games will release the PS Vita version of Kantai Collection - Kan Colle Kai alongside a Limited Edition as well in August! Though it was supposed to come out earlier in May, it's been delayed for three months; regardless, what we know so far seems quite interesting!

Originally a popular free-to-play web browser game based on the dramatic and dynamic relationships that only transforming battleship girls have, Kadokawa Games customizes KanColle for the PS Vita, with a high-tuned system restructure and user interface redesign.

Gamers are going to enjoy new console improvements with novel fleet combat experiences with the introduction of actually controlling the girls, advanced weaponry (like the twin high-angle trajectory gun mount), and special tactical skills (different types of sonar), all involving the Kanmusu!

PlayStation 4 Street Fighter V Hot Package

Review and thoughts

This game is always fun to play if you like fighting game. Although the skills are basically the same compare to previous version of the game, players still need some time to get familiar with the game style. The timing and feeling of the punches and kicks are just not the same. The fun part of this game is to study and make use of the skills while trying to develop your own style of fighting. First you will have to complete the game before challenging other players. The fighting AI has becomes much more complicated and sophisticated. PS Vita Mobile Suit Gundam Extreme VS Force

Review and thoughts

This game is much more interesting if you watched the Gundam anime series. You can feel the excitement while playing because the characters will shout out those popular phrases or quotes. The fighting might seems simple but it takes some skill to actually knock out your opponent. I am particular interested in using each of the mobile suit and check out their skills and weapons. You get a feeling of reproducing the action and scene just like the anime. Especially when you compare it to the first version of Gundam anime series, the latest art work of the game tends to make your favorite classic anime perfect.

Description from Play Asia

In September, during the Tokyo Game Show 2015, Namco Bandai Entertainment Asia had dropped a neutron bomb annoucement - something we ourselves never saw coming:

MOBILE SUIT GUNDAM EXTREME VS-FORCE ENGLISH LOCALIZED VERSION FOR PLAYSTATION® VITA COMING THIS WINTER

SINGAPORE – BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment Asia is proud to announce that MOBILE SUIT GUNDAM EXTREME VS-FORCE with English localization will be coming your way. For the first time MOBILE SUIT GUNDAM EXVS series will be localized with English subtitles and it will be available in Southeast Asia across Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand and Indonesia. “MOBILE SUIT GUNDAM EXTREME VS-FORCE” will be playable on the PlayStation® VITA system.

“We are looking forward to bring MOBILE SUIT GUNDAM series fans an English localized version of the game at long last. We are in the midst of localization and hope to bring a good quality product that everyone can enjoy, so do look forward to the release in winter.” said Rainel Tan, General Manager at BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment Asia.

And now, finally, we have the English version open for pre-order, which is exciting as knowing that there will be an actual localized version of everyone's favorite mecha on mecha combat game :)

As for the game itself, Mobile Suit Gundam: Extreme VS Force will feature a number of new playable Mobile Suits as well as pilots. Players can expect the series' familiar Gundam battles, as well as new unit-commanding large-scale battles in Extreme Force Mode. In the larger battles players will be able to assemble a unit of six Mobile Suits and one battleship, setting up three platoons of two Mobile Suits each. Using the new 'Force System,' players can pause the battle and command their troops, designating movement destinations for platoons and providing strategic instructions including: advance, withdraw, gather, and disperse.

'Extreme Force Mode' is the primary mode and starts with a game-original mission, and continues onto missions where players can enjoy Universal Century episodes consisting of various situations from Mobile Suit Gundam up until Mobile Suit Gundam UC. You’ll acquire new Mobile Suits and develop your pilot while completing missions, and organize and operate your own unit while aiming for domination.

PlayStation 4 Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 Fortune

Review and thoughts

I like the original game of Dead Or Alive but not much when it comes to volleyball. Although the characters are the same, the game mechanism is different. Basically this is a volleyball game with sexy pretty girls. There will be a lot of simple mini games. I think this game is more about visual enjoyment and figuring out the secrets game developers planted. I am actually curious about the difference between Japan version and Asia version. The character voice should be one of the interesting things to check out.

There are also versions for PSVITA too.

Description from Play Asia

After years of build up, Koei Tecmo has released the very first footage for Dead Or Alive Xtreme 3! Many gamers share fond memories of the previous iterations, especially the first title, Dead Or Alive Xtreme Volleyball, as this was indeed the  reason why some of us originally bought the first Xbox.

Notorious in it's promotional material and absolutely unabashed at what this title is about, DOAX3 carries on the tradition of this spin-off by taking the girls of Dead Or Alive and pitting them in a no holds barred beach vacation filled with mini-games designed to showcase the new technological advances of the series. Apparently there is volleyball or something ;)

By using the upgraded Soft Engine 2.0 for the PS4 Version (an improved breast engine based off Dead Or Alive 5 Last Round) and the Soft Engine Lite (PS Vita Version), 4 main changes have been made to the character models. New skin shaders give off a realistic and healthy vibrancy, and breast physics have been fine tuned for maximum voluptuousness. As well, game changing booty physics have been fleshed out, along with the fact that no other game contains such realistic tanning. The main stay Camera Mode also returns and will be compatible with the upcoming PlayStation VR.

There are 9 characters in the roster, selected based on a popularity contest where the results were announced during the Toyko Game Show 2015: Marie Rose, Honoka, Kasumi, Ayane, Kokoro, Nyotengu, Hitomi, Momiji, and Helena Douglas complete the roster, with no plans for DLC.

Finally, Dead Or Alive Xtreme 3 is a Japanese/Asian Region exclusive, although if a Western release happens, according to Koei Tecmo, it will be an "adjusted" version. What this actually means though, is highly based on the assumption of censorship; in the meantime, this version is the only sure bet on the original xtreme experience.
